People are very fond of eating Aloo tikki…no matter they are rich or poor. They used to go out to taste this Amazing Aloo tikki. U can see there are so many stalls on road side as well as you can find this dish in big restaurants. But for better taste people visit road side Stalls 😉 . Even in Indian big fat wedding people look for Aloo Tikki stall before jumping to the main course 🙂 .
But How to make this tasty Aloo tikki ?? Here is the easiest Recipe …
Boiled potatoes ( 2 big potatoes )
Green Chili (chopped)
Boiled Peas (optional)
Roasted Cashew nuts (broken) (for Filling)
Raisins (for filling)
Ghee or oil for pan fry
Spices – Salt , Red pepper powder , Garam Masala (optional) , Amchoor(mango Powder)
(will be more yummy with spices so u can use your favorite spices in it )
Mash boiled potatoes add boiled pea bit crushed . Add green chili chopped . Make a mixture then include spices and mix well. Make a ball with the mixture ,fill 2 cashews and 1 raisin, close it & make a ball again and press it gently .Heat 1 tsp. oil/Ghee in a non-stick pan over a low heat. Slip in the patties and pan-fry on both sides till crisp golden brown, Serve aloo tikki hot with tamarind and Coriander chutney and stirred curd.
